Clariant Makes Changes To Board of Directors

Clariant International Ltd announced that Dr. Rolf W. Schweizer is to step down as chairman of the board of directors at the company’s annual general meeting in 2002. On his recommendation, the board of directors elected Robert Raeber as his successor. Until mid-2001, Mr. Raeber was a member of the executive board of Nestlé S.A., in charge of European operations.
    
Markus Kündig will also be retiring at the general meeting. Mr. Kündig has served as vice chairman of the Clariant board of directors since the company’s founding. Heinrich Bossard, CEO and chairman of Bossard AG, is to be proposed as a new member.
